A single large mass was discovered in a Kansas field prior to 1961. It was eventually recognized as a meteorite in 1961 and analysis revealed it to be a rare L impact melt. (L-IMB) It contains abundant melt zones and silicates. For collectors of US localities, this is one of those obscure meteorites that is rarely seen on the market.
