This is a lot of fossil echinoid specimens collected from the Castle Hayne locality of North Carolina. This is an area of exposed Cretaceous and Eocene limestone. Access to the quarry is now restricted and very little material from this location is available. I do not specialize in inverts and I acquired these in a trade, so I do not know what the exact species are. A couple of these could also use a little more cleaning up to bring out further detail. I am assuming these specimens are from the Eocene period based on the known geology of the locality.
