About 5 kilograms of chondrule-rich meteorites were recovered out of Morocco in 2008. This material was provisionally classified as an L/LL3.5. In this case, the specimens exhibit a mix of characteristics belonging to the L and LL groups. There has only been one other meteorite classified as an L/LL3.5 and that was Sahara 99339. Sah 99339 has a scant total known weight of 32.4 grams, so NWA 5437 likely represents the majority of known material of this rare type.
