NWA 5480 was first recovered out of the Saharan Desert of Mali in 2008. It is an unusual meteorite with a matrix of tightly-packed crystals with a marble-cake appearance. It was officially classified as an olivine diogenite achondrite from the asteroid 4 Vesta.
The specimen being offered here is an endcut that weighs 1.76 grams.
