NWA 6126 was recovered out of the Saharan Desert of Morocco in early 2010. It was purchased by a dealer in Marrakech and later classified as a CR2 carbonaceous chondrite. The total known weight before classification was a modest 760g and very little of this material is now available on the collector market. This meteorite is quite weathered, which is evident from the hydroxide weathering veins visible in the photos. It is also brecciated, which is somewhat unusual for a CR2.
