Pathological Specimen, Coyote Skull (Canis Latrans), Holocene


This is a coyote (Canis Latrans) skull recovered from fossil deposits in Florida's Bone Valley Formation. Although found in a fossil formation, this specimen is not fossilized. It is a recent Holocene specimen. It is in excellent condition, despite the lack of the lower jaw. Most of the dentition is present, including both canine teeth. This is an attractive and creepy-looking skull that would be ideal for display. It measures approx. 8 inches by 4 inches by 4 inches.
