You get one (1) specimen of Burmese Amber (also called "Burmite"). Each piece has been professionally cut and polished. Each specimen contains one or more inclusions, including insects, plants, enhydro bubbles, and/or resin flow lines. The majority contain one or more insect inclusions. I am not an expert in fossil insects, so I cannot authoritatively identify them, but many appear to be tiny mosquitos and flies. Clarity and color are superb on these pieces.
Burmese amber originates from deposits in modern-day Myanmar. The deposits are dated to when dinosaurs walked the Earth (Cretaceous period, approx. 100 million years ago).
Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing ONE (1) specimen selected from the larger lot shown. Your specimen will include an ID label and gemjar for safe storage. Each piece averages about one gram, but some are a little larger or smaller. You will get the largest piece remaining.
