This is a broken partial tooth of the Giant Ground Sloth (Eremotherium eomigrans) that was recovered from a Pleistocene deposit in Florida's famous Bone Valley formation. Because these teeth typically do not preserve well like shark teeth, they are usually found as partial examples. Complete unbroken teeth of this beast are exceptionally rare.
This specimen is quite solid and measures approx. 1.5 inches by 1.25 inches (38mm x 32mm).
Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing the specimen shown. Your purchase will include an ID label with locality info.
