No collection of American Historic falls is complete without a specimen of Holbrook. On July 19, 1912, a shocking and terrifying event showered thousands of stones across the area around the town of Holbrook, The brilliant fireball and explosions caused widespread sensation, because meteorites were not fully understood at that time. Many people thought it was the end of the world. Holbrook is an uncommon L/LL6 type, a hammer fall, and a historic fall - a trifecta for collectors.
The specimens offered here is small solid fragment that weighs approx. .050g (50mg). I have four of these available. They are about 3x larger than my typical micromounts of this locality.
