This is a skeleton fragment from the Imilac pallasite strewnfield in Chile's Atacama Desert. These pieces are entirely iron in jagged, irregular shapes. The shapes are the result of the olivine crystals weathering out over time.
This specimen is offered as-found in the desert and each one weighs less than one gram, but exact weight varies from piece to piece.
