Libyan Desert Glass is an impactite from the Great Sand Sea region of the Sahara in Libya and Egypt.  It has been used since the time of the Pharaohs in making jewelry and adornments.  Desert Glass (also called Sahara Glass) was created when a massive meteorite slammed into the Saharan Desert millions of years ago.

The specimen being offered here is a pendant with very nice color, transparency, and a wind-sculpted shape. It weighs approx. 6 grams (30 carats) and has a sterling silver bail attached to it. It is ready to hang from a necklace of your choice (chain not included).  This is an out of this world gift and a truly unique piece of jewelry.

Refer to the photo.  The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing the pendant shown. Your purchase will include an info sheet and a handsome black padded gift box.
