Lunar Analog Rock, Feldspathic Anorthosite Breccia, Faux Moon Rock, 85g

Adding to cart… The item has been added

This is a feldspathic anorthosite breccia rock from an exposure in the United Kingdom. It bears a striking resemblance to some Apollo "moon rocks", impact breccias, and polymict lunar meteorites. This would be ideal as an outreach or educational prop without having to drop a small fortune on a genuine lunar sample. Please not again, this is NOT a meteorite, it is a convincing imposter (meteorwrong).

The specimen offered here is an endcut. The cut face shows a wealth of clasts, just like a polymict impact breccia or meteorite would. It measures approx. 3.5 x 2.5 inches (88mm x 64mm) and weighs 85 grams.

Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing the specimen shown. Your purchase will include an ID label.
