This is a premium stony meteorite that weighs 69 grams. This specimen has an attractive patina of black fusion crust and wind-polished desert varnish. This meteorite has an aerodynamic shape and it displays well in several positions. This is a classic example of a stony meteorite with nice heft to it. It would make an ideal educational or outreach prop. It would also serve as a fine display specimen.
This meteorite was recovered from the Saharan Desert in the early 1990's and is not classified. This specimen has a polished window showing the matrix. The window shows a ton of metal flecks and some scattered chondrules. It weighs approx. 69 grams. Judging by appearances and magnetic attraction, this meteorite is likely a L or H type chondrite.
