In 1972, a large heavy rock was recovered from a farm in rural Jewell County Kansas. A sample was analyzed at UCLA and it was classified as a shocked H5 chondrite. This meteorite has a characteristic black matrix with prolific metal flake inclusions.

The specimen offered here is a part slice. One cut face is polished. It weighs approx. .742g (742mg).
