NWA 086 was recovered out of the Saharan Desert in August of 2000 and purchased by a Western dealer. It was provisionally classified as a "complete stone" of undetermined type, likely an ordinary chondrite. For unknown the reasons, the final classification was never done and the paperwork never submitted to NomCom for official approved. It is one of those "lost provisionals" from the early days of the Saharan Gold Rush that fell between the cracks of the classification system (which was overloaded with new arrivals at the time). I acquired a small amount of fragments as part of a larger collection trade.

Refer to the photo. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing a small fragment like the one shown. Your purchase will include a labeled gemjar for safe storage.
