This is a thick and detailed mortality hash-plate that contains a rich concentration of fossilized tentaculites (gyracanthus sp.) from the Devonian period (approx. 350 to 420 million years ago). This specimen was recovered from the Manlius Formation, Howe's Cave, New York.

This plate measures approx. 3 x 2.5 x 1 inches (75mm x 68mm x 25mm), and it weighs 188 grams.
