These are small rocks and pebbles that were legally collected decades ago from the Trinity Test site where the world's first atomic bomb was detonated in 1945. These rocks are an unassuming witness to one of history's most important moments - when the Manhattan Project unleashed the power of the atom. It is no longer legal to collect materials from the test site, but these rocks were picked up in the late 1940's by the same man who salvaged the trinitite that is on the market today. These rocks are not radioactive and they would make an interesting part of any trinitite or Trinity display.
