On October 25, 1999, an Elk hunter tracking game in Wheatland County Montana discovered a large unusual rock. Thinking it might be a meteorite, he had it analyzed and it turned out to be an H6 chondrite. This is one of only seven meteorites found in Montana. It has a shock grade of S2 and a weathering grade of W3. This is an obscure meteorite not often seen on the collector market.
