This is a stony, unclassified meteorite (NWA-xxxx chondrite) that was recovered out of the Saharan Desert of Morocco in the late 1990s. It has been cut to show the interior. The outer surface shows remnant fusion crust and lots of chondrules. The entire piece has a glossy wind-polished patina and it displays well in several positions. The cut face shows metal flecks, chondrules, and clasts. Judging by appearances and degree of magnetic attraction, it is likely a type-3 or type-4 chondrite (H or L).

This piece has nice heft to it and is an ideal hand specimen for outreach or educational use.
