This is a beautiful unclassified stone with jet black fusion crust, slickensides, copious metal, and prominent brecciation. It has a polished window showing the interior of the stone. The matrix looks like a Saharan version of Peekskill. It has striking brecciation of multi-colored clasts set into a dark groundmass. It has chondrules, it has metal, and has shock veining. This is a classic example of a stony meteorite with nice heft to it. It would make an ideal educational or outreach prop. It would also serve as a fine display specimen. This piece came from an old collection and was brought out of Morocco in the late 1990's or early aughts.

If this stone was bigger, I would keep it and have it classified. I also wish I had the piece that was removed to make the window. It really is a premium-grade unclassified at a time when the market throws that word around loosely. It weighs approx. 85 grams.

Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing the meteorite shown. Your purchase will include an ID label.
