This is a large, uncut, stony meteorite that weighs 213 grams. This specimen is covered in wind-polished fusion crust. This meteorite has an aerodynamic shape and it displays well in several positions. It has a polished window showing the interior of the stone. This is a classic example of a stony meteorite with nice heft to it. It would make an ideal educational or outreach prop. It would also serve as a fine display specimen. This piece came from an old collection and was brought out of Morocco in the late 1990's or early aughts.
This stone has a window discretely cut into one edge of the stone. The window shows a matrix that is metal-heavy with a few scattered chondrules - likely a H5 or H6 chondrite. Portions of the remnant fusion crust show contraction cracks. It weighs 213 grams.
