This is a lot of slices and endcuts of an unclassified NWA chondrite. There are a total of six (6) pieces that includes 4 slices and 2 endcuts. One of the endcuts is covered in fresh black fusion crust and has two prominent regmaglypts. All of these specimens are pieces of the same stone. The matrix of this meteorite is loaded with metal flecks, metal blebs, chondrules, and fragmental clasts. It has a very busy and attractive look to it that would be great for display, outreach, study, gifting, or cutting down into pendants.
These pieces are professionally prepared. Major saw marks have been removed and they have not been polished - polishing would likely muddy the details and not improve the overall look.Judging by appearances and degree of magnetic attraction, this is likely a H or L type chondrite. It was recovered out of Morocco. All of the pieces weigh a combined 92 grams.
Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You get all of the specimens shown. Your purchase will include an ID label.
