Uruacu iron meteorites were first found in rural Brazil by cattlemen and gold prospectors in 1992. Although found in a different area, this meteorite appears to be very similar in composition to Campo del Cielo irons found in nearby Argentina. This meteorite has been classified as an iron IAB-MG type. The jury remains out if this is a separate fall or a pairing to Campo del Cielo.
