Weaubleau Crater, Missouri, USA – (diameter : 19km wide, age : 320m years)

The Weaubleau impact struck the area when it was a shallow inland sea during the Carboniferus period. As a result, the breccias from this crater often contain fossils. In this case, the matrix contains the remains of shattered crinoid fossils. 

The specimen is an endcut that weighs approx. 21 grams.
