This is a lot of fossilized bone fragments that were collected from the famous Bone Valley formation and Peace River in southern Florida. This region is well-known for it's rich deposits of Miocene, Eocene, Pliocene, and Pleistocene period fossils. The oldest pieces are upwards to 100 million years old and the more recent pieces are about 10,000+ years old. These fragments are worn and incomplete. Most are unidentifiable. All but one of these bones is only partially-fossilized and they still have some remaining collagen content. This remnant collagen means they can be used for radio-carbon dating study (which is unusual for river finds, which typically have no remaining collagen). Someone with more expertise might be able to identify more of these. In total, there are approx. 137 grams of pieces.

Refer to the photo. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You are purchasing all of the pieces shown.
