This is a Japanese "Omamori" featuring a meteorite fragment. It has the original packaging and has not been used. Omamori are amulets or protection charms that are typically sold at Buddhist or Shinto shrines across Japan. They are roughly analogous to a rabbit's foot in western culture, albeit less crude. These are carried for different reasons - to bring general luck, to pass an exam, to do well at a job interview, to find love, or to ward off evil spirits. This one contains a small polished iron meteorite fragment (probably a Campo).
The packaging is somewhat "smushed" but the product itself is new and undamaged. The packaging contains some writing about wishing upon a shooting star and the origin of meteorites.
Refer to the photos. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. You get the omamori shown.
