NWA 12518 is a new chondrite recovered out of the NWA dense collection area in the Saharan Desert. It is a desert-varnished stone with the characteristic pock-mark features that typically indicate a chondrule-rich type. It was analyzed and classified a rare LL(L)3 chondrite, although final approval and publication in the official Met Bulletin appears to be pending. I will update any buyers on the final approved classification details when it happens. This meteorite is an unequilibrated chondrite that is very rich in chondrules of all sizes and colors.
