This meteorite was first purchased out of Morocco in 2004 and was classified and sold at the 2009 Tucson Show by Blaine Reed. It is a gorgeous unequilibrated type-3 chondrite that is packed with chondrules and inclusions. It has wall to wall chondrules of all types, sizes, and colors.
This meteorite was recovered as a single 6kg stone in the Moroccan Sahara in 2004 and was classified by Dr. Ted Bunch at NAU. It is a LL3.7 chondrite with a shock grade of S2 and weathering grade of W2.
This specimen has been expertly cut and polished with a mirror-like polish on both sides. It has a rim of fusion crust along one edge and shows a dense proliferation of chondrules and clasts, including a large "dark inclusion". It weighs approx. 23.5 grams. It has nice size and measures approx. 3 inches x 1.5 inches x .25 inch (75mm x 38mm x 5mm).
This specimen also includes Blaine's original specimen label and the original baggie it was purchased in over 15 years ago for "$125".
