The specimen offered here is an unidentified brachiopod in shale matrix rock. It was recovered from a Devonian (approx. 358 to 420 million years ago) deposit in the Catskills mountains of New York, USA.

The exact species of brachiopod has not been determined - I lack the expertise to identify it authoritatively.
