This is a section of fossilized deer antler. It dates from the Pleistocene period (approx. 11,000 to 2,500,000 years old) and was recovered from the Florida's Peace River near the town of Wauchula in the famous Bone Valley formation. It is nicely preserved and measures approx. 3.25 inches long (approx. 82mm).
