This is a flint nodule with attached limestone matrix. This was recovered while fossilhunting in Florida's Bone Valley Formation. It was found in the Peace River as part of an eroding limestone rock shelf on the riverbank. Primitive man used this material in later Pleistocene period to make projectile points. It has a broken spot that exposes the glossy obsidian-like interior of the flint.

It measures approx. 70mm x 45mm x 20mm and weighs 71 grams.
