This is a lot of fossiliferous matrix rock from the Devonian period (approx. 359 to 419 million years ago). This material was recovered from the McCoy's Ferry locality, Mahantango Formation, Washington County, Maryland, This material has been known to contain trilobites, crinoids, brachiopods, and other fossils of the period. This lot shows numerous crinoid column impressions and may contain other fossils when properly prepared.
